Fritz Leiber est le fils d'un grand acteur shakespearien, Fritz Leiber Sr. Son père ayant monté sa propre compagnie de théâtre, Fritz Jr. y a beaucoup joué dans son enfance. Le premier film, visiblement inspiré de Shakespeare, est à ma connaissance le seul qui réunit Fritz Leiber père et fils. Le premier tient le rôle d'Horatio, le second celui de Fortinbras, bien que non crédité au générique. L'Internet Movie DataBase signale un rôle dans The Sea Hawk (1940, film de Michael Curtiz avec Erroll Flynn), mais donne le même rôle à Fritz Leiber et à son père, Fritz Leiber Sr. Je crains donc qu'il ne s'agisse là d'une erreur, car seul le père est crédité au générique (il joue l'Inquisiteur qui condamne Errol Flynn à la galère). Le problème se pose également avec The Web (1947, film de Michael Gordon) et The Spanish Main (1945, film de Frank Borzage). A suivre...
